A wide variety of studies show that women are given anti-depressants before any other consideration in their health is taken on board such as thyroid / hormonal imbalances.
This is a real issue: an examination of over 6,000 women, many of whom were of menopausal age, depressive symptoms were associated with a two-fold increase of mild cognitive impairment and dementia later in life! With Alzheimer’s disease and other cognitive issues on the rise, we need to take action!
